Norris and Quinn's: Southwest Montana Hot Springs, Cannabis-Aware
Norris in the Madison Valley and Quinn's in Paradise anchor Montana's southwest hot-springs circuit. Cannabis at the cabins, never the pools.
Norris Hot Springs in the Madison Valley and Quinn's Hot Springs near Paradise on the St. Regis River anchor Montana's southwest hot-springs circuit. Each runs on its own character — Norris as a smaller music-and-soak destination, Quinn's as a lodge-and-restaurant property — and the cannabis-aware approach to both matches.
Norris, the Madison Valley Anchor
Norris Hot Springs sits 30 miles northwest of Bozeman, down in the Madison Valley, a smaller and more down-home property than Chico. The "Poolside Music" schedule runs live acts through the summer, with the stage next to the pool. Camping and cabin options on-site plus vacation rentals in the surrounding valley support overnight stays. Licensed dispensaries in Bozeman or Ennis supply the retail side. Verify current licensed status via the Montana Department of Revenue Cannabis Control Division at mtrevenue.gov/cannabis/.
Quinn's, the Paradise Lodge
Quinn's Hot Springs sits at Paradise on the St. Regis River, 75 miles west of Missoula. The property has a more lodge-and-restaurant structure than Norris, with private-soak pools for rent, a full restaurant and bar, and cabin lodging spread across the river-adjacent grounds. The drive-out from Missoula runs through I-90 and then U.S. 135 along the Clark Fork.
The Sober-Soak Rhythm
Montana state law prohibits cannabis consumption in public spaces, which covers every pool and sauna at both Norris and Quinn's. The cannabis-aware rhythm is identical at both: cannabis stays at the cabin or private rental, consumption is before or after the soak window (not during), and the walk-not-drive rule governs the drives back to Bozeman or Missoula.
The Private-Soak Option
Quinn's offers private-soak pool rentals, which are private for the duration of the rental but remain under Montana public-accommodation rules regarding cannabis. Private rental status does not convert the pool to a private residence for legal purposes; Montana's public-consumption ban still applies. The legal rule for cannabis consumption does not change.
